On September 11, don’t cower in your homes to the threat of terrorism. Stand up, support hope, freedom and the American way, and go see a rock band at Smith’s Olde Bar. The K Walker Band, among others, will be playing Three for Five Night (I know, three bands for 5 bucks – what a bargain!) We’ll be playing with a different drummer, Shawn Thacker (the original drummer on the “11″ sessions) and it should be a blast.
In addition to The K Walker band, American Bang and Kurt Reifler will be rocking the house as well. Support us all by staying for the entire show. And remember: buy a lot of drinks, tip the bartender and tell the management staff how much you’d like to come back on a Friday night to see the K Walker Band!
We appreciate your support!

When I first arrived at the club, Kevin told me the house P.A. had been removed for some unknown reason—and that we would be without amplification. But the main act, the tight, talented and very friendly Whysmen graciously offered and hustled in their own P.A. (By the way, we share a lead guitarist in Sean Bulow)
